Betting Glossary
RTP (Return to Player)
The theoretical rate at which a game returns a percentage of total wagers to players over the long term. A higher RTP is generally more favourable for the player.
House Edge
The mathematical advantage the casino holds in every game, ensuring their long-term profit. It is the flip side of RTP.
Wager / Stake
The amount of money you put at risk in a round or match is called a Wager or Stake.
Odds
A multiplier set according to the probability of an event occurring. The higher the odds, the greater the potential payout but the lower the probability.
Parlay / Accumulator
Combining multiple bets into one — a big reward if all selections are correct, but lose everything if even one is wrong.
Live Bet
The ability to place bets in real time while a match is in progress. Odds change with every event as it happens.
Cashout
The option to accept a set amount before a bet is settled, reducing your risk. This is especially important in crash games.
Bankroll
The total budget set aside for playing. Managing your bankroll properly allows you to play for longer.
Volatility
The pattern of how rewards are distributed in a game. High volatility means less frequent but larger rewards; low volatility means smaller but more frequent rewards.
Free Spin
The chance to spin the reels in a slot game at no cost — received as a bonus or as an in-game feature.
Wagering Requirement
The condition specifying how many times a bonus amount must be wagered before it can be withdrawn. Example: 25x means 25 times the bonus amount.
Spread
A method of betting where an expected margin between two teams is set. The winner must win within that spread.
